The Love City Live! movement took the island of St John in the US Virgin Islands to the next level of promotion and community service during the week of activities leading up to the big Love City Live! concert day. As a journalist and producer I travel often throughout the Caribbean and I’m extremely blessed to always experience so many amazing places, people, cultures and energy within my own region; sometimes words just cannot describe the feeling you get when you’re cruising through the hills alongside a breathtaking coastline that glistens with the sun’s rays bouncing off sparkling tourquoise waters and coral reefs set against a dramatic horizon with even more islands in the distance. Ahhh, that is what Love City in St John is all about, a combination of  pure natural beauty, heartfelt indigenous vibes and passionate people who are working hard to preserve it. From the Youth Enrichment Project, to the live concert featuring local stars, to the powerboat party on Jost Van Dyke island  Love City Live! is a testament to us that without grasping our own destiny, our own culture and our own people we have no present and no future in the Caribbean. It is our generational responsibility to guide and protect our own for the sake of  Youth enrichment and the ancestors who worked so hard for the very beauty and freedom we indulge in today througout the Caribbean. I have to give Big Love to my Love City Live! family, promoter Wasi Philbert, cultural advisor Dr. Baz Dresinger, actor/singer Malik Yoba, artist/fellow ‘TriniJonian’ Charlene Griffith, stage manager Wesley Baynes, sponsors Boyson Inc, St John Ultimate Villas, my production crew Dwight and the Digitak Films team, Aisha Boyd, Lamont Blake and all the extraordinary people who came aboard with us for this inspiring experience. My Love City Live! travelvlogs will give you a taste through my eyes of the mission, people and love behind the movement. It’s all about Love City Live… Indulge in the Vibe!
